Fed: Now and Then

After viewing an interview on CNBC http://www.cnbc.com/ with former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan I have formed the following opinions:

Mr. Greenspan blames Wall Streets hedge and investment funds for their over exuberance, pushing lenders to be overly creative and to their breaking point.

Mr. Greenspan says "no better regulations than government regulations." Going on to say " consumers are shrinking, production is easing and we are in a recession."

Mr. Greenspans answer to how this effects the housing market is an interesting one. And, one that I tend to agree with:

Home markets have been priced in and opportunities may exist for savvy investors or second home purchasers in certain markets.
