On Passover and since I was little boy I couldn't wait to have my father make me his version of Matzah Brei. Now we get to share it with you. What better way to start your day than with your family. Happy Eating!
What is Matzah Brei?
A traditional dish for Passover brunch, this egg and matzo fry can be made sweet, topped with cinnamon sugar or jelly, or savory, with additions of your favorite vegetables and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
Five matzo crackers
Five brown eggs
Whole Milk
salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
Take the matzo and break into small pieces into a bowl
In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper and just a touch of milk to fluff-up the eggs, then add the matzah
Let Matzah soak in eggs & Mix well
Heat frying pan with a little butter
Pour mixture into the pan
Brown one side and turn over
